So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
vSAN configuration
vSAN is tightly integrated into VMware vSphere; thus, enabling vSAN is easy compared to other SDS solutions. All you need to do is to enable the vSAN service on the cluster:
Please note that you need to have the VMkernel adapter configured with the vSAN service first. Also, HA cannot be enabled on the cluster level when vSAN cluster is being configured.
To create a new vSAN cluster, follow these steps:
- Click the Configure button under vSAN | Services.
- You have to select what type of vSAN cluster is being configured.
- Next you need to specify advanced services that you want to enable on the vSAN cluster.
