Customizing the Ribbon is back.

For those of you who upgraded from Excel 2003 directly to Excel 2010, you will say, “Well, of course you can customize the Ribbon.” However, for those of us who lived through Excel 2007, there was no easy way to customize the Ribbon.

Starting with Excel 97 command bars, it was possible to completely customize Excel 97 through Excel 2003. You could add icons, remove icons, adjust the menu, create new toolbars, float the toolbars, and so on. Power Excellers everywhere customized their environment to match their work style.
