So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
37. Excel Web App and Other Ways to Share Workbooks
I was a little upset when Microsoft removed the Publish with Interactivity option from Excel 2007. Yes, Microsoft offered the capability to publish the workbook to Excel Services, but you needed to have an IT department to figure out how to set up a SharePoint server to make that all work. In Excel 2010, the Office Web Apps provide an experience that runs circles around the old Publish with Interactivity option.
This chapter discusses publishing your workbook to Office Web Apps, to Excel Services, and good old methods of sending workbooks via email or creating PDF files.
This chapter also includes a discussion of sharing Excel data with other applications.
