It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
15. Using Trig, Matrix, and Engineering Functions
Scientists, mathematicians, and engineers, as well as high school mathematics students, will get the broadest use out of the functions in this chapter. Even though many of the trigonometry functions might seem intimidating, this chapter includes practical household examples for many of the functions. Anyone who has to lean a ladder against a house can find a use for the trig functions.
The imaginary number functions might be useful only to electrical engineers, but any business analyst can make use of the techniques for solving linear equations.
Table 15.1 provides an alphabetical list of all of Excel 2010’s trig functions. Detailed examples of the functions are provided later in the chapter. ...
