Sparklines are exciting graphics that can be used to summarize a row or column of data in a single cell. The term sparkline was first used by Edward Tufte, a famous expert on the visual presentation of data and its analysis. Tufte described sparklines as “data-intense, design-simple, word-sized graphics.” Excel makes it a snap to create amazing graphics that reside in a single cell.
