The next project continues with the theme of light-up Minecraft re-creations. You’re going to build the ultimate Minecraft Jack O’Lantern to frighten Creepers, Zombies, and assorted trick-or-treaters. The project consists of a pumpkin (Figure 7-1) made out of orange corrugated plastic (Coroplast), painted to match the game element and given an Arduino-controlled LED module that creates a flickering flame effect without having to rely on actual flame. That’s a lot to learn, so let’s get started!
