8.1. Minecraft and Teaching Math
I had my first experience with the concept of teaching math in Minecraft while interviewing Stephen Elford in March 2013. One of the first exercises I took part in while talking with Stephen was to work out the probability of various animals falling down a chute! I could never imagine being so engaged with probability back in my school days, but there I was having a blast waiting for the next animal to fall from above. That was just one of many exercises Stephen has created in Minecraft to teach math.
