The object model is the static structure of a system. To create an object model, you must first of all understand the problem domain. You must understand exactly what the system is supposed to do. Next, pick out the classes, describe them and decide how they relate to each other. (Remember, classes group related objects together.) This process is usually iterative, resulting in a more accurate or more detailed object model with each pass.
