Memphis, Tennessee, is the home of the National Civil Rights Museum. We visited the museum a couple of years ago, and spent two or three hours there learning about the civil-rights movement and the long struggle of African Americans to end institutionalized discrimination and achieve some measure of equality.
The layout of the museum—really, the layout of the experience of a visitor—is arresting.
