It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Summing Up
Most of your time spent developing Office applications will be spent in the VBA editor. It's a carefully designed editing tool that makes many repetitive tasks as easy as possible. Writing good code and following programming guidelines such as commenting your code and using proper formatting should become second nature after a while—but only if you follow these guidelines faithfully! Code security is not always a concern. However, when it is, you'll be glad to know that Office provides the required tools.
