So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Summing Up
Despite the incredible power of the VBA language, it cannot do everything. When the language falls short of your needs, you can call the Windows API directly to perform any task that the Windows operating system is capable of. The API is a complex subject, and you may not ever need it in your custom Office solutions, but it's nice to know it is available just in case. The Registry is another part of the Windows operating system that can be used to good advantage by Office developers. In particular, the ability to save and recall program settings can add an extra degree of sophistication and user friendliness to your programs.
