The first time I launched a digital course, I made exactly $267. Yep, two hundred and sixty-seven dollars. Not even enough to cover the software I used to sell it.
I had poured my heart into that offer, convinced it would change lives. I mapped out the content, put together the slides, and launched it into the world with so much excitement—only to be met with results that were … well, let's just say, humbling.
I remember staring at my screen, refreshing the page, willing more sales to come in. Maybe the emails hadn't gone out correctly. Maybe people needed more time to decide. Maybe—just maybe—the next hour would be different.
But as the launch wrapped up, I faced the hard truth: my belief in my course wasn't enough to sell it. That night, I sat on my couch, replaying every decision I had made.
Was this a sign that I wasn't meant to do this? Had I made the biggest mistake of my career?
That could have been the end of my story. But something in me refused to let this be where it stopped. I wasn't going to let one failed launch define what was possible.
So I went back to the drawing board. I refined my messaging, adjusted my course, and focused on connecting with my audience. I learned how to take what I already knew and present it in a way that truly stuck with people—building not just attention, but lasting trust.
