Open Source Leadership—a Global Study

As mentioned in Chapters 3 and 6, the goal of the Open Source Leadership study was to learn how people viewed leadership and motivation for superior performance. We wanted to test some generally accepted “truths” and ascertain if they were still valid in today’s uber-connected and uber-populated world.

Through a structured questionnaire we asked approximately 16,000 senior and midlevel executives from 28 countries the following:
