I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Continuous archiving and point in time recovery
PostgreSQL has a native support for continuous archiving and PITR. In PostgreSQL, it is possible to perform these operations in a native way through simple SQL instructions (https://www.postgresql.org/docs/10/static/continuous-archiving.html); however, there are some tools that can simplify our life. Here are some examples:
- Barman: Barman (Backup and Recovery Manager) is an open source administration tool for disaster recovery of PostgreSQL servers written in Python. It allows your organization to perform remote backups of multiple servers in business critical environments and help DBAs during the recovery phase.
