So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
How it works…
Each parameter setting is cached within each session so that we can get quick access to the parameter settings. This allows us to access the parameter settings with ease.
Remember that the values displayed are not necessarily settings for the server as a whole. Many of those parameters will be specific to the current session. That's different than what you experience with many other types of database software, and it is also very useful.
