So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

Von der Notwendigkeit zu layouten
Die künstlerische Umsetzung von Schrift- und Bildelementen wird von den Betrachtern zuerst immer als großes Ganzes wahrgenommen. Erst beim näheren Betrachten fallen die einzelnen Details auf. Deswegen ist das Ziel eines guten Layouts, dein Schriftstück klar, deutlich und ästhetisch aufzubauen.
Der englische Begriff »Layout« heißt nichts anderes als Plan oder Entwurf. Mit einem Layout schaffst du eine Grundstruktur deines geplanten Schriftstücks. Worte, Auszeichnungen und Bildelemente können vorab zu einem einheitlichen Gesamtbild geordnet werden.
Um kalligraphische Schriften zu üben, musst du vorab nichts layouten. Beim Üben steht im Vordergrund, dass der Ablauf und das Schreiben der Schrift trainiert ...
