17.5. Testing Your Add-In
To test your add-in, press F5. Visual Studio builds your add-in, registers it to load when SharePoint Designer starts, and starts the SharePoint Designer program itself. Once SharePoint Designer opens, the site from your last session automatically opens, unless the user has disabled that option. You may need to open another site by selecting File
Open Site from the menu bar. If you open another site, SharePoint Designer launches a new instance of itself, which prevents your add-in from being debugged. To get around this problem, select Debug
Stop Debugging in Visual Studio; that will close the original instance of SharePoint Designer. Next, close the new instance of SharePoint Designer that will remember your site and reopen it the next time SharePoint Designer loads. Finally, press F5 key again to load SharePoint Designer and debug your add-in.
In SharePoint Designer, create a new workflow by selecting File
