Chapter 5Media Controls
This chapter shows you how to use media controls such as Image
, CaptureElement
, and MediaElement
to render video and audio streams, including acquiring a video stream from your headset’s world-facing camera. You will also learn how to detect human faces in the acquired images (see Figure 5-1). Finally, you will explore UWP speech-synthesis and speech-recognition engines and learn how to use them to support hands-free interaction between the user and the app on the Mixed Reality device. Several classes developed in this chapter will be stored in the reusable MixedReality.Common class library; you will use them to build more complex examples in next chapter.
