I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Loading images with the Qt resource system
The Qt resource system requires that the resource files we are using in the application must be part of the application's source tree. So, first, we save each ornament we mention as a JPEG image and place it into a subdirectory of our project's root directory named images:
$ pwd /home/kdr2/Work/Books/Qt-5-and-OpenCV-4-Computer-Vision-Projects/Chapter-04/Facetious $ ls images glasses.jpg mouse-nose.jpg mustache.jpg
We are going to superimpose these ornaments onto the frames of our video feed. In order to make this superimposition simple, these ornament images are saved as 3-channels JPEG images whose foreground color is black, the background color is white, and the shape is square. We will explain ...
