I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Chapter 4, Fun with Faces
- Can the LBP cascade classifier be used to detect faces by yourself?
Yes. Just use the OpenCV built-in lbpcascades/lbpcascade_frontalface_improved.xml classifier data file.
- There are a number of other algorithms that can be used to detect facial landmarks in the OpenCV library. The majority of these can be found at https://docs.opencv.org/4.0.0/db/dd8/classcv_1_1face_1_1Facemark.html. Try them for yourself.
