Speeding Up Surfing

When you’re jumping between websites, forms, and reports all day, every click and keystroke counts. This section shows you how to trim a few steps when entering web addresses and how to maximize your screen space once you’re there.

Navigating to websites faster

Type a site name, such as dummies, in the address bar and then press Ctrl+Enter (Windows) or Cmd+Enter (macOS) to automatically add www. and .com to the beginning and end. This shortcut sends you directly to www.dummies.com without extra typing.
