I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Getting started
Make sure you have the Expo Client application installed on your iOS or Android device to be able to run the application that you'll create in this chapter. Expo Client is available in both the Apple App Store and the Google Play Store.
Once you've downloaded the application, you need to create an Expo account to make the development process smoother. Make sure you store your account details somewhere safe, as you'll need these later on in this chapter. Don't forget to verify your email address by clicking the link that was sent to you by email.
