I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Getting started
The project you'll create in this chapter will use the public API from GitHub, which you can find at https://developer.github.com/v3/. To be able to use this API, you need to have a GitHub account, since you'll want to retrieve information from a GitHub user account. If you don't have a GitHub account yet, you can create one by registering on its website. Also, you need to download the GitHub logo pack from here: https://github-media-downloads.s3.amazonaws.com/GitHub-Mark.zip.
