In this chapter we’ve looked at ASCII and binary data, along with some applications for dealing with each type. We’ve also seen how Python’s built-in and library methods are used when we need to convert from one form to another, and how to mix both in the same script to create complex data objects such as images. Finally, we examined a working example of a binary image data generator function and saw how many of the topics introduced earlier come into play to create the function.
