Checklist to Hold a Customer‐Centric Event (CCE)

  • Are your customers the stars of your event, not just watching but competitors, judges, and coaches?
  • Do you have a colleague who can direct while you host to keep the customer's viewpoint in mind?
  • Do you have a Zoom package enabled for webinars?
  • Do you have special effects? Try Prezi Video or mmhmm.
  • Do you have a diverse speaker pool composed of various backgrounds and levels?
  • Have you built onboarding docs, media kits, and graphics so your attendees can cross‐promote?
  • Have you set up a LinkedIn event (or are ready to restream to several platforms at once) and asked your fan base, colleagues, family, and friends to spread the promotions?
  • Do you have a shared event calendar to make it easy for everyone involved to get alerted?
  • Do you have a custom Zoom background graphic for all participants?
  • Do you have a structure for the hour call that lays out the intro, challenge, Q&A, and so on, almost like modules?
  • Who hosts break‐out sessions if your event is multi‐track, like an all‐day virtual conference?
  • Has your theme been done before? Is it a mash‐up of at least two or three other themes to make it innovative?
  • Do you have a Facebook and LinkedIn page, Instagram and YouTube channel, and TikTok as spokes established to amplify your LinkedIn hub?
  • What is your social media posting schedule before and after the event? Did you build a social media marketing (SMM) doc?
