Chapter 6. Developing a Vision Document
The Vision document is one of the three most important documents created in RequisitePro (the other two are the Use Cases and Supplementary Specification documents). The Vision document contains the following:
A description of the problem being solved by the new system
A high-level description of the solution
A list of the system’s main features
The Vision document may serve as a contract between a customer and developers for the technical requirements. The purpose of the Vision document is to
Define the system’s boundaries
Identify constraints imposed on the system
Gain agreement with the customer on the scope of the project
Create a basis on which to define Use Cases and Supplementary Specification documents
