High Data Rate DSL
Although ADSL enjoys considerable hype, High Data Rate DSL (HDSL) is the most widely deployed form of DSL, with more than 1 million lines deployed in North America today. The leading vendor of HDSL equipment, in terms of units shipped to date, is Pairgain Technologies (Nasdaq: PAIR) . Other vendors are Adtran (Nasdaq: ADTN) ADC Telecommunications (Nasdaq: ADCT) ), and Orckit (Nasdaq: ORCT) .
