So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

I had been a designer for nearly fifteen years before I had the opportunity to start my own business and to focus on book design. Accidentally, and fortunately for me, I discovered there is a wonderful difference between producing books for publishers and “birthing” them with self-publishers. I appreciate the terrific relationships I have with the publishers I worked for, but I feel passionate about the relationships that develop with self-publishers.
