Summary
This hour took a close look at routing. You learned about the distance vector and link state routing methods. You also learned about IP forwarding, core routers, interior routers, and exterior routers. Finally, this hour described a pair of common interior routing protocols—RIP and OSPF—and introduced the concept of routing at higher protocol layers.
