Semi-Markov model of system component damage

Abstract

The semi-Markov model of system component damage is discussed in this chapter. Models that deal with unrepairable systems are presented here. The multistate reliability functions and corresponding expectations, second moments, and standard deviations are evaluated for the presented cases of the component damage. The so-called inverse problem for a simple exponential model of damage is presented in the chapter.
