Multistate systems with SM components

Abstract

This chapter deals with unrepairable and repairable multistate monotone systems consisting of multistate components that are modeled by the semi-Markov processes. In the case of an unrepairable system, the multistate reliability functions of the system components and the whole system are discussed. In the case of a repairable system, the probability distribution and the limiting distribution of the system reliability state are investigated. All concepts and models presented are illustrated by simple numerical examples.
