The Digital Transformation of Enterprise Learning

Marshall McLuhan (1966), the communications guru of the 1960s, once remarked that he didn’t know who discovered water, but he was sure that it wasn’t a fish. Of course, a fish will notice when it is taken out of water, because this disruption is life-threatening and highly unusual. Today, we humans are metaphorically swimming in a vast sea of electromagnetic signals, electronic devices, complex software, and highly interconnected infrastructure. It’s everywhere, so like the fish in water we tend not to notice it as we go about our daily lives.

Unless, of course, something happens to disrupt ...
