Chapter 10. RF Position Location Systems

As discussed in [Rap96b], [Miz96b], and [Ree98] radio frequency Position Location (PL) systems can be classified into two broad categories: Direction Finding (DF) and Range-Based systems. An extensive list of PL system classifications is provided in [Law76]. These DF and range-based PL systems and techniques may be used individually or in combination, in a number of different configurations, to produce a PL solution.
