Glossary
As well as short definitions, some indication of the context in which terms may be used is given. Unless otherwise indicated, the term is usually in international use, although local variants may exist. Where usage in the United Kingdom (UK) and America (US) differs markedly, both forms are given. No attempt is made here or elsewhere in this book to enter into a study of basic electrical theory, or to describe equipment or circuits in technical detail.
‘A’ signal. In stereo, the signal to be fed to the left-hand loudspeaker of a two-speaker system.
AB. Stereo system in which left and right components are generated and/or processed and transmitted separately, as distinct from MS (middle-and-side).
