I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Understanding business motivation and value
Microservices should not be used for the sake of implementing a niche architecture style. It is extremely important to understand the business value and business KPIs before selecting microservices as an architectural solution for a given problem. A good understanding of the business motivation and business value will help the engineers focus on achieving those goals in a cost-effective way.
The business motivation and value should justify the selection of microservices. Also, by using microservices, the business value should be realizable from a business point of view.
