It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Sparse solutions
A sparse solution or approximation is a sparse vector that approximately solves an arrangement of equations. Techniques to find sparse approximations have found a wide use in applications such as image processing and document analysis.
You should recall that a vector is a sequence of data points of the same basic type. Members of a vector are officially called components.
