So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Cluster analysis
Cluster analysis is used by the data scientists to place data variables into defined collections (that is, clusters) as a way of summarizing the data. Clusters should be both internally homogeneous (the variables are like one another) as well as externally heterogeneous (the variables are not like members of other clusters).
Hierarchical agglomerative, partitioning, and model-based are all very common methods of cluster analysis.
