Next, we head for Zimbabwe on the African Continent to review the first of just two Southern Hemisphere case studies (the other is in Australia—see Chapter 14). Northern ‘hemispherophiles’ should note that while the sun still rises in the east and sets in the west, it spends most of the day shining on the northern façades of buildings rather than those facing south.
