We now move back across the North Sea to another RMJM building, designed this time by their London office as the headquarters for the Glaxo-Wellcome pharmaceutical company, following their mid-1990's merger. The four-storey building has a floor area of ∼6000m2 and is intended to house ∼200 head office staff.

The building (Figure 16.1) is sited on the company's Greenford campus in west London, sharing it with other Glaxo-Wellcome administrative facilities. The campus is well established in what is a predominantly suburban locality, on the west side of Greenford Road just over 1km north of the A40 London to Oxford dual carriageway.
