This chapter shows you how to build a simple, three-wheeled TriBot (Figure 3-1) that uses all of the EV3 sensors. You can use the TriBot to run the example programs in the rest of this book and to test your own programs later on. You’ll also build a simple Lift Arm that you’ll use to experiment with the EV3 Medium motor.
You can build the TriBot using either the EV3 Education or Home Edition. For the most part, the images in this chapter show Home Edition components. Let’s review the differences between the two editions before we proceed. The wheels in the Home Edition are smaller than the ones in the Education Edition (see Figure 3-2).
