Unlike the other parts of the body, the proportions of the hand vary from one individual to the next. Similarly, there is no perfect symmetry between the right and left hands.
Front of the Hand (Palm Side)
Three folds divide the interior of each of the fingers (not including the thumb)
Segments P and Q are of equal length.
The tip of the finger (R) is thinner and slightly longer.
The thenar and hypothenar eminences (fleshy parts of the palm, see diagram) are positioned on either side of an imaginary line that bisects the axis of the wrist (S = T).
