This is a useful chart for computing screen time when the camera is running at a speed other than normal speed (24 frames per second).
To use the chart, find your camera running speed along the top of the chart, and go down that column until you find the length of the shot, in seconds. Then trace to the left edge to find the actual screen time.
If you know how long the event takes, and how long it needs to be on the screen, but need to know the running speed to set the camera at, find the needed screen time on the left, then trace across that row until you find the event length. Then follow that column up to find the necessary camera running speed.
