Chapter 26: Experience and Education
This book can only begin to suggest what the field of fashion design encompasses. The resources available to the designer are vast. Fertile ground for new ideas can be found in publications and on film, in archives and online. Fashion weeks and trade shows actively engage the designer and offer new sources of stimulation. A fashion designer’s education may take many routes, from fashion schools to internships, incubators, professional conferences, workshops, and online classes. In the end, every experience can be mined.
