Resilience at work: coping when things get tough
In every work environment, challenges and difficulties will present themselves from time to time. Workloads may spike extremely to produce fatigue, technology transitions may cause disruption and stress, interpersonal conflict may cause a tense atmosphere, and so on. It is realistic to expect periods during which our enthusiasm for getting to work is dampened.
That said, we offer some suggestions for adopting a constructive and positive attitude for ‘tough times’ and for determining whether to abandon a situation proving intractable.
