16. Mixed Media Layered Transfers
Fine art and photography have a long history of working together. Artists have been combining traditional art with photographs via silkscreens or cutting up newspapers and magazines for use as collage materials since photography was invented. I remember Robert Rauschenberg’s technique from the 1960s in which he used lighter fluid to float the ink off of newspaper and magazine paper.
