This will give us the context in which to consider the qualities that contribute to LEGO’s enduring appeal. We’ll also review some of the basic types of LEGO elements and establish important terminology, as well as weigh the pros and cons of physical versus digital building. Understanding these basics will lay the groundwork for the building techniques covered in the chapters to come.
