So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
FOREWORD
I first started building LEGO creations a long time ago with the first LEGO X-wing set, which was released in 1998. From there, I continued to build, and after a couple of years I attended my first LEGO fan convention in 2001. Five years later, I started BrickJournal, a LEGO fan magazine. It’s been over 25 years, and I’m still building.
My first contact with Deepak Shenoy was online. I wanted to feature his work in BrickJournal after seeing renders of his skyscraper models and reading his blog posts about LEGO building techniques. He wrote an article for the magazine, and then I got to meet him and see his built skyscrapers in person at BrickFair Virginia.
