4SB-600 Buttons, Modes, Menus, and Operation
The SB-600 flash (figure 4.1) can be used in two basic ways with your Nikon CLS–compatible camera. First, it can be used as a dedicated TTL flash, connected to the camera’s hot shoe like any other flash unit. Second, it can be used as a remote (slave) flash that is controlled by a Commander (Master) flash like the SB-500, SB-700, SB-800, SB-900, SB-910, or SU-800.
