13White Balance and Gel Usage
White balance doesn’t have to be complicated. In fact, it is very simple once you boil it down to the basic elements.
The goal of white balance is to filter ambient light so that colors look natural. Generally speaking, if you take a photo of a white object, the proper white balance settings render it as white in the final photo. The white object should not look either too blue or too red. Rather, it should appear white. Simple!
