I’m one of those human resource professionals who doesn’t have a degree in HR and was hired to do an HR job. I learned about recruiting, employee relations, etc., on the job. Later, I went back to school, learned about the models and theories and got my professional certification.

So it doesn’t hurt to make sure we all have the same level of expectation where the recruiting function is concerned. Especially since we might have learned the recruiting function through different routes. Let’s define ...
